Summary of Teaching/Supervision/Administrative Experiences Sept. 2006 - 2009 • I was working as the Acting Head of Department for Gemoatics Technologies department at Yanbu Industrial College (YIC)-Saudi Arabia. During that period I had the opportunity to: o Establish and create the Geomatics lab facilities o Manage administrative issues for the Geomatics department o Develop course plans and course syllabi for the Geomatics Engineering Program (GET) o Initiate several channels with the Urban Planning & Surveying Department within the ROYAL COMMISSION for cooperation. o Get involved in the preparation stage towards the ABET accreditation of the department. Dec. 2005 – Sept. 2006 • I had the opportunity to be one of the Geomatics members who established the Geomatics dept. at YIC-Saudi Arabia. Course (industrial training course) July 2001 – present • I worked as the instructor for the first, second, and fourth year undergraduate-surveying courses at the Transportation Dept., Faculty of Engineering - Alexandria University, namely: - Cadastral an Topographic Surveying (1) - Cadastral and Topographic Surveying (2) - Engineering and Photogrammetric Surveying - Final year Surveying Camp Project - I have been invited (as a visitor lecturer) to teach a 3rd year undergraduate surveying course at the Geography Dept., Faculty of Social Science, Alexandria University. • I teached several graduate courses (Remote Sensing - Image Interpretation- GIS) for 2nd year diploma/master students at the Transportation Dept., Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University. • Currently I am supervising a graduate students towards a Master of science. • I had several training programs from the Faculty of Leadership Development Center (FLDC)- Alexandria University Branch- in the following areas: - Writing Scientific Papers. - Time & Conference Management - Teaching With Technology - Multimedia applications in teaching - Active presentations - Thinking Skills. - Leadership January 2000 – April 2000 • Department of Geodesy & Geomatics at the University of New Brunswick hired me through a private contract as the instructor for the “Photogrammetry II” course (GGE 3313) at the department. (Please find the attached offer) September 1999 – December 1999 • I was teaching as a co-instructor for the “Numerical Photogrammetry” course (GGE4323) ”, Department of Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering, University of New Brunswick, Canada. September 1998 – September 1999 • I had the opportunity to obtain a one year DUT “Diploma of University Teaching”, University of New Brunswick September. 1998- December. 1998 • I was teaching (as a co-instructor) with Prof. David Coleman in one of his GIS courses (SE 4403 – GIS “Geographic Information System”), Department of Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering, University of New Brunswick, Canada. September. 1992- September. 1996 • I was working as a teaching assistance as well as a co-instructor at Civil Engineering Department -Alexandria University- Egypt.
