Hisham Nouraldayem Altayeb Mohammed

 Associate Professor

Profile

A pivotal aspect of my research involves the exploration of bacterial pathogens and their resistance mechanisms through genomics, proteomics, and metagenomics. Additionally, my research focuses on understanding how bacterial pathogens spread their antimicrobial resistance mechanisms, causing disease, and affecting the evolution of both pathogenic and normal bacterial flora. My recent efforts concentrate on using AI tools for drug discovery within the realms of bacterial genomics and metagenomics. I am also conducting research on the antimicrobial activity of natural compounds against multidrug-resistant bacteria, as well as their effects on cancer and viruses. My expertise extends to modeling, docking and simulation, which are essential in the drug development process.
