On the Analysis of Some Organic Pharmaceuticals with N-Bromosuccinimide

Ph.D.: Syntheses of some labeled alkyl- ether phospholipids for NMR and X- ray diffraction

Studies. In addition to other ether phospholipids for evaluation as antineoplastic agent and study

of their interaction with cell membrane using DSC . All the synthesized intermediates as well as final products are purified and isolated by liquid chromatography through newly developed procedures. All intermediates and final products are well characterized by TLC. The structures of the final products were proved through high resolution mass spectroscopy. Detailed studies were carried out for the mass spectra of the final products and the fragmentation pathway was proposed. Since we were working on optical active compounds, the optical purity was confirmed through NMR studies and a newly developed NMR procedure was established as analytical tool to determine optical purities of the studied compounds.

M.Sc.: Analysis of some organic pharmaceuticals with N- Bromosuccinimide (NBS). New developed analytical procedures were developed for the determination of the studied compounds in pure forms as well as in their pharmaceutical products through volumetric methods using NBS as a standard solution. Full identification of the reaction products as well as elucidation of the reaction pathway were also studied and outlined.

....etc. and analysis of data. Teaching The under-graduate and post graduate courses of medicinal
