Mohamed Rashed is a professor of geophysics at the Water Research Center, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In 2003, Prof. Rashed got his PhD at Osaka City University, Japan and has a long experience in teaching and research in different fields of geoscience. Prof. Rashed introduced several new algorithms for processing seismic and ground penetrating radar (GPR) data in addition to developing a seismic source for shallow high-resolution seismic survey. Prof. Rashed’s main areas of interest are seismic data processing and interpretation; GPR data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation; frequency-domain electromagnetic data acquisition and processing; integrated geophysical surveying; and seismic sequence stratigraphy for oil and gas exploration. |
