Dr. Abdel-Wahab El-Morsy was born June 9, 1971 in Dakahlia, Egypt. He did his undergraduate study at Metallurgical Engineering Department, Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Suez Canal University. He received his Bachelor of Science with Honor degree in May 1994. After college he moved to Cairo and began working as a Research Assistant at the Central Metallurgical Research and Development Institute, where he worked until has recipient of fellowship from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government - Japan to complete his master's and doctoral study at Tokyo Metropolitan University in October 1997. He began work on his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering April 1998. He received his master’s degree (March 2000) and doctorate (March 2003) from Tokyo Metropolitan University’s department of Mechanical Engineering in the field of Evaluation Method of Superplastic Characteristics of Advanced Light Metals and its Application.
In 2006 Dr. Abdel-Wahab moved to Faculty of Engineering-Helwan, Helwan University as an Assistant Professor. In 2009, he was promoted to Associate Professor. From September 2010 until now he works as an Associate Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering-Rabigh, King Abdulaziz University. He is also serve Quality and Accreditation as representative of the Unit as well as the Evaluation and Quality Assurance for University Performance (EQAUP) Program.
Dr. Abdel-Wahab has research interests in:
- Superplastic forming of Advanced light metals.
- Finite element analysis of metal forming processing.
- Material selections for different industrial applications.
- Metal Forming Processing
- Thermo-Mechanical Processing
- Grain Refining by Severe Plastic Deformation
Dr. Abdel-Wahab has participated as a research member in some industrial projects and published 36 papers in international journals and conferences. He has been a trainer and consultant in the field of finite element simulations to several private and governmental agencies. This included workshops for academic staffs and engineers of universities and companies:-
- Alsalam Aircraft Co. (KSA),
- King Abdulaziz City, Aerospace Institute (KSA),
- King Fahd University (KSA),
- York Company (KSA),
- Central Metallurgical Institute, (Egypt), and
- Germany University in Cairo (Egypt).
