Profile

Faisal Alshref is an academic faculty at the Department of Biochemistry. Mr. Alshref is interested in infectious diseases and understanding the mechanism of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Alshref has worked closely with AMR leading scientis worlwid. Mr. Alshref has been a member and leader of regional and international collaborations throughout his academic journey in the United States of America, Australia and the United Kingdom.

His expedition in combating AMR is multidisciplinary as it involves different sectors and stakeholders such as: The University of Oxford, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KASUT), Inoes and Oxford institute for AMR (IOI), King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, The Ministry Environment, Water and Agriculture and King Abdullah International Medical Center.
