Profile
Dr. Kattan graduated as a physician from King Abdulaziz University medical school and practiced the profession for several years. Then, he completed his postgraduate studies in healthcare management in the United States - a master's degree from George Washington University and a PhD from the University of Central Florida.
He practiced hospital administration with different hospitals in KSA, both MOH and private, as well as hospitals in the US.
His specialty is performance improvement of health services and has a green-belt 6-Sigma from the American Society for Quality.
He participated in plenty of studies in the field of healthcare management and public health, which were published in Scholarly Journals.
In addition to teaching, he established expertise-house “Kafa’ah” for healthcare consulting services.
He is a member of many local and international bodies and organizations such as the Saudi Society for Health Administration, The American College of Healthcare Executives, The American Public Health Association, American Society for Quality, etc.
Participated in presenting different courses and seminars in healthcare management and performance improvement as well as some specialized courses for change management in the era of Saudi National transformation and Vision 2030.
