Dr.Ahmed Altayyar is the Vice Dean for Development and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, King Abdulaziz University KAU, Jeddah, Saudi A
In 2007 he was among the first batch to receive the Doctor of Pharmacy degree from King Abdulaziz University, then he was hired as a teaching assistant at the same universit
In 2012 he received an advanced clinical pharmacy practice certificate from the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy. Dr. Altayyar also completed a pharmacy practice residency and a specialized residency in Health-System Pharmacy Administration at Banner - University Medical Center Tucson, formerly known as the University of Arizona Medical Center – University Campus
In 2014 Dr. Altayyar completed his Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Outcomes and Comparative Effectiveness Research from the Center for Health Outcomes and Pharmacoeconomic Research (HOPE) Center. And in 2016, he was awarded a post-graduate Diploma in teaching and learning from KAU
His current research focuses on clinical outcomes, interprofessional education, quality and safety, and medical education
