Nahla Samargandi is an Assosiate Professor of Economics & Finance at King Abdulaziz University, Faculty of economics and Administration, KSA. She is an applied economist, whose research interests include the areas of economic growth, financial development, tourism, labor economics, institutional quality, environment and energy, and macroeconomic policy shocks. She is curranty served as is an Economic Research Director at the Tocology Foresight Center, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, KSA. She also served as an economic and fiscal policies advisor at Macroeconomic & Fiscal Policies Unit, Ministry of Finance, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She has published in prestigious internationally recognized journals and acts as a certified referee for numerous high-ranking international journals. In addition, she served as a Lead Author for Working Group III, Chapter 15 about investment and finance at the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Sixth Assessment Report, to be published in 2022.
