Ghassan Rashed Alnwaimi
Qualifications: BSc, MSc, PhD,

Ghassan Alnwaimi is an assistant professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at King Abdulaziz University, KSA. Dr Ghassan completed his BSc with 1st honour degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from King Abdulaziz University, and MSc with distinction in Mobile and Satellite Communications from the University of Surrey, UK. He received his PhD from the Centre for Communication Systems Research (CCSR) at University of Surrey, UK, 2014. His research interests include the design of cognitive radio systems, self-organization networks, distributed strategic learning, game theory and their application to wireless networks.  spectrum sensing, dynamic resource allocation and interference management in femtocells and heterogeneous networks. He received several national awards and actively involved in several large-scale European projects (OneFit, QoSMOS, ACROPOLIS etc.).

  • Game Theory, Machine Learning, Distributed strategic learning for wireless network, Optimization theory and system optimisation.
  • Participated and actively involved in several large scale Europeanprojects (OneFit, QoSMOS, ACROPOLIS)
