Mohammed Al Hashmi
On 2004, I got my bachelor's degree from the faculty of
Applied Medical Sciences at King Abdulaziz University. On 2005, I worked as a
laboratory specialist at King Abdulaziz University Hospital, biochemistry lab.
On 2009, I moved to the academic field and I worked as a teaching assistant in
the faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at King Abdulaziz University. On 2013,
I got my master's degree from the University of Texas Medical branch, the
United States.

1- Breast cancer and its diagnostic tests
2- Thalassemia
3- Point of care testing
Scientific interests

Matrix Metalloproteinases (MMPs) family, especially MMP9 and MMP2.
Interested in their role and expression patterns in different kinds of solid tumors (colon, breast and lung).

Thalassemia.
Interested in its complications, molecular diagnostic tests and management.

Iron chelators. Part of the management aspect of thalassemia.
Interested in their complications and safety profiles.
