Prof. Omar Anbar is currently a staff member (ِProfessor) in the Department of Meteorology, Faculty of Meteorology, Environment and Arid Land Agriculture, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Dr. O Anbar got his B. Sc. in 1982 and Master Degree in 1988 from the Department of Meteorology, Faculty of Meteorology, Environment and Arid Land Agriculture, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah. He completed his PhD in School of Environmental Science, University of East Anglia, Norwich- U.K. in 2002. The title of his PhD was “The Microclimate of Mina Valley During Haj Period”. He is a member in Saudi Scientific Society for Meteorological Science.

Research Interests
The research interests of Prof. O Anbar concentrates on the researches related to the study and the estimate of the amount of energy fluxes and their impact on the environment. The development of any particular urban area needs a technique in order to measure all the important parameters and then establishing a database of the central part of the city. He is a principal investigator of the supported project by King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology titled "The Seasonal Micrometeorological Changes in the Haram Area of Makkah City and The Feedback of Changes in the Microclimate on the Comfort of People" for three years.
