Publications awareness for the use of university Email

One of the services offered by e-mail is not limited to the use of e-mail only, but you can also communicate with your friends at the same time directly using Hangout on the university page.

Before you start using this service, make sure it is activated.

How to activate or stop chat in the university e-mail:

If you do not want to use this service (Hangout) you can turn off caht in the university e-mail. You should follow these steps:

1. Press the gear icon and choose (Settings).
2. Click the (Chat) tab.
3. When using chat, select (Shut Chat). Look at the picture.
4. Click (Save Changes).

You will be logged out of chat, and your communication channels will be hidden.
To activate the chat again, you can go back to the settings, just click on (Activate Chat).

Let us know some of its advantages:

1- Group Chat:

Group chat allows you to chat with many friends at once. , up to 150 people you can chat with, and any participant can invite others to join. To start a group conversation, you should follow these steps:

1. Click New conversation " + ", then "New group".
2. Enter or select the names, phone numbers, or email addresses of people you want to add, If you where in conversation with one person and you want to invite more you press "more" icon at the top of the chat window. then click " new group conversation"
3. Enter the names of the contacts you want to add to your chat group.

To end your chat, click (X) in the corner of the chat window. The chat group will receive a message stating that you have left the conversation. If you want to join the same group conversation again, you click on it from Hangout conversation list. The chat group will continue until all participants have left.

2- Video and audio calls:

In addition to instant messaging, you can also chat face-to-face with up to ten people, or by phone calls. You can interact and hear your friend through the use of the audio and video capabilities of Gmail chat. By Click "Camera" icon for Video call.

Note: Before you start your video call ,Connect a camera, microphone, and speakers to your computer.
When asked to use your computer's camera and microphone, click" Allow".then they can see you.

3- Video conference (Meet):

In addition to the previous video chatting from Hangout, you can now hold meetings and video conferences that enable you to meet with a larger number of people up to 100, through a fast and lightweight interface and smart management of participants, multi-person video calls have become very easy. You can do this by pressing "Meet" to set up a meeting and share the link . You do not have to worry about whether they have the right accounts or plugins.
