*Primary school in Cambridge, England.
*1985 Graduated from Al-Thager Secondary School in Jeddah.
*1985-1991 Student in the College of Medicine & Allied Sciences in King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah.
*1991-1992 Intern in King Abdulaziz Hospital, Jeddah.
Post-Graduate Positions:
*1993 General Practitioner in King Abdulaziz University Hospital, Jeddah.
*1995 Joined the Ophthalmology Department in King Abdulaziz University Hospital, Jeddah.
*1997-2002 resident in the KSU-KKESH Ophthalmology Residency Program in Riyadh.
*June 2003 Passed the Saudi Ophthalmology Board and the King Saud University Board.
*2003 Fellow in the Pediatric Ophthalmology division of King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital.
*January – June 2003, Locum consultant in King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital.
*July 2004 to present date, Assistant Professor and Consultant Pediatric Ophthalmology in King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah.
*Deputy Director of the western region Ophthalmology residency training Program from March 2009 to April 2010.
*Director of the western region Ophthalmology residency training Program from April 2010 to present date.
*Member of the Ophthalmology Scientific Committee in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties from January 2011 to present date.
Major Presentations:
*Presented a paper entitled: Common Eye Disorders in King Abdulaziz University Hospital, Jeddah, at the Tenth Annual Scientific Meeting of the Saudi Ophthalmological Society 1996.
*Several case presentations during the weekly grand round activities in King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital.
*Wrote a thesis on Monocular Elevation Deficiency during the final year of the residency programme.
*Presented a grand round at King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital on the 22’nd of October 2003 entitled “Laser Refractive Procedures in Children”.
*Wrote a paper entitled "Vertical Muscles Transposition With Medial Rectus Botulinum Injection For Abducens Nerve Palsy" which has been published in The Journal of King Abdulaziz University.
